How Much Does a Website Cost in India in 2026? A Complete Price Guide
What a website really costs in India in 2026 — landing pages, business sites, WordPress, e-commerce and web apps — plus the hidden costs quotes leave out.

Ask five agencies what a website costs and you'll get five very different answers — anywhere from ₹5,000 to ₹5,00,000. That range isn't random. The price depends on what the website has to do for your business, how it's built, and what happens after launch. This guide breaks it down so you can budget with confidence.
Quick answer: typical website prices in India
| Type of website | Typical price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Landing page (1 page) | ₹7,999 – ₹15,000 | Product launches, ad campaigns, events |
| Business website (up to 5 pages) | ₹14,999 – ₹39,999 | Service businesses, clinics, consultants |
| WordPress website | ₹19,999 – ₹45,000 | Teams that want to edit content themselves |
| E-commerce store | ₹39,999 – ₹1,20,000+ | Selling products online with payments & shipping |
| Custom web application | From ₹79,999 | Portals, booking systems, dashboards, SaaS |
These ranges reflect what professional agencies charge for quality, mobile-first work. You can see our exact itemised prices — and build your own package — in the quote builder.
What actually drives the price?
1. Number of pages and templates
A five-page site with a home, about, services, gallery and contact page needs fewer unique designs than a 30-page site with location pages, service pages and a blog. Extra pages that reuse an existing template cost far less than pages that need a brand-new layout.
2. Custom design vs templates
Template-based sites are faster and cheaper, but they look like thousands of other websites. A custom design built around your brand and your customers usually converts better — which matters more than the build cost if the website is meant to generate leads.
3. Functionality
- Online payments (Razorpay, PayU, UPI) and order management
- Booking or appointment systems
- Customer logins, dashboards or member areas
- Integrations with your CRM, WhatsApp or accounting software
- Multi-language content
Each of these adds development and testing time. A simple brochure site has none of them; an online store has most of them.
4. Performance and SEO foundations
A fast site with clean code, proper headings, structured data and good Core Web Vitals ranks better and converts better. Cheap builds often skip this, which becomes expensive later when you need to rebuild to fix speed or SEO problems.
The costs most quotes leave out
- Domain and hosting — roughly ₹3,000–₹8,000 a year for a small business site.
- Maintenance — updates, backups and security patches, typically ₹2,000–₹5,000 a month.
- Content — professional copywriting and photography if you don't have them.
- Marketing — a website without SEO or ads rarely gets found on its own.
- Third-party tools — paid plugins, email services or payment gateway fees.
Freelancer, agency or DIY?
DIY builders are cheapest for very simple sites but limit design, speed and SEO. Freelancers can be great value for small projects but may not cover design, development and marketing together. An agency costs more than a freelancer but gives you one accountable team for strategy, design, development, launch and growth.
How to get the most from your budget
- Define the one or two goals the website must achieve (calls, enquiries, sales).
- Start with the pages that support those goals; add more later.
- Invest in speed, mobile experience and clear calls to action first.
- Budget for at least three months of SEO or ads after launch.
- Choose a partner who gives you full ownership of the code and content.
